Community Helpers is a nonprofit, United Way agency whose purpose is to provide emergency financial assistance to the people of Rutherford County with utilities.
Christian Outreach to homeless and needy neighbors. Offers hot meals, food boxes, clothing, showers, laundry, computer lab and job assistance, Bible Study, Supportive Housing, and many more resources of practical assistance Clothes Closet is on Mondays and Thursdays.
Provides primary medical care at low cost to low-income and uninsured residents of Rutherford County.
Relieves hunger in south Rutherford County by serving persons who are temporarily unable to provide for themselves.
Provides emergency shelter for families and men as well as bus tickets, gasoline assistance, and emergency food to transient persons.
Provides aid to needy people in Rutherford County through the distribution of food, clothing, household items, furniture, and Christmas gifts. Assistance is also provided for meals, gasoline, and bus tickets for transients as funds permit.
One of the easiest ways to get help is by dialing 2-1-1, Tennessee’s community services help line. When you call, you’ll get a real person, one who is trained to help you sort out your needs, and then give you phone numbers and addresses of the closest places where you can get help.
